Vanishing Point - 'Salvus' Single & Lyric Video Unleashed
Vanishing Point's forthcoming record Dead Elysium is set to be released on August 28th via AFM Records. Last month, the Australians put out the first official single and album's title track. Now they offer a second one, called "Salvus", in the form of a lyric video.

I can't help but think that it's lacking in inspiation, as though there was no effort or passion applied here, surely they were all feeling how boring it became after rehersing it over and over again, it must have been a relief to finally reach the recording session and they would probably never play it live because the croud would be thinking "Skip".

I was just reading your comment on 'Count you days'... Sure, they're not re-inventing the wheel here, but this is fucking well made. It takes inspiration to be melodic and yet sound solid as these songs are and actually is harder to simplify prog than to just throw more stuff into the mix. Obviously that's my opinion...
