SIG:AR:TYR - Tracking New Album

Over the summer time, Canadian blackened folk metal representatives SIG:AR:TYR recorded most of the instrumental parts for the next studio album. Drums and vocals have left to be done. More info revealed in statement below.

Statement from the group's mainman Daemonskald: ''I'vve been very busy over the summer months working on the new album, and I'm happy to report that I've completed all guitars, bass, and synth on nine new songs. Only vocals and drums to finish.

"Very excited about how the songs have come together. It sounds like an album somewhere in between Beyond The North Winds and Godsaga. It also includes a couple of instrumentals that I have not done since the Godsaga days. The guitar solos are still there of course, a dying art that I won't let go. This time I tried to be more spontaneous and improvisational, and it's more Uli Roth and Michael Schenker than Yngwie this time around.

"In these strange days, it's comforting to return to your roots, and that's what this feels like. Theme-wise the album is stellar oriented, compared to the stone/earth/wind/water themes of previous albums. In troubled times, we all look to the night sky for help, for an escape from this world, a citadel of stars to protect us... surrounded by darkness yet the light of a thousand suns guides our way... truly a place where the sun never sets.''
