Behemoth - Announce European Co-Headlining Tour With Arch Enemy

Behemoth have announced "The European Siege 2021" Tour that will take place in autumn 2021 in Europe. Arch Enemy will be co-headliners, direct support will come from Carcass, and Unto Others (formerly known as Idle Hands) will be the opening act.

Behemoth frontman Nergal comments: "After more than a year's break from live music, we can think of no better homecoming to our beloved Legions than delivering to you a performance of new music and an event for the ages: 'The European Siege' - a crushing combination of Carcass, Arch Enemy and Behemoth. We also proudly present the uniquely brilliant, Unto Others who will warmly welcome you to this night of metal magic!"

Arch Enemy founder Michael Amott comments: "As we've been going through these troubled and challenging times lately, I think we all need something to look forward to. A reason to believe, right? Well....this is it!! 'The European Siege' tour, featuring Arch Enemy, Behemoth, Carcass and Unto Others is undoubtedly the ultimate Metal tour of 2021 - see you there!

Just here to agree with both commenters above. If you take out AE, the line-up is sick.

Lol, how can a lineup get "better" by removing stuff from it ?
Absolutely love that lineup all together, hope that's not just one more dream announcement and that this one can happen ..

True, I guess Carcass could have claimed that co-headliner spot. But I would gladly keep AE in there, even if they were the warm up band.

What an incredible bill - shut up and take my money NOW!!! I never understood the hate that Arch Enemy receives - they're a decent melodeath band as far as I'm concerned and seeing them on any bill is always a bonus to me.

It's very simple really, "more" does not mean "better". For me a lineup without AE will always be better, for you obviously not.

Well I have to admit that it bothers me too.

Everyone complaining about the line up, be happy some bands take the risk to announce a tour that is most likely going to get cancelled anyway due to covid. Fucking spoiled brats.

Hmm, while I can definitely understand Radu's point (I actually hadn't thought of that), I struggle to agree with your point. One could also easily say: "more" does not mean "worse".
If you get the same amount of what you like, and there's also a band you don't really like on top of it, I guess that's fine no ? I mean, I've enjoyed so many bands live that I'm not originally a fan of.

Unless you really hate Arch Enemy ?

I feel I should also precise that despite being a huge (m)dm fan, I actually never really got into Arch Enemy. So it's not the fanboy talking here. But as a man craving live music, the more you'll give me the happier I'll be (unless it's really shit of course).

I'll be going to this if it actually happens. I've made the decision not to buy any more tickets until gigs actually start happening again here in the UK (not sure what the situation is like in the rest of Europe).

Most of my gigs have been rescheduled but 3 have been cancelled now, so I've lost about £10 in fees to those unscrupulous ticket agent bastards.

Like most, I have no love for Arch Enemy (or Idle Hands either tbh) but I'm all over Carcass and Behemoth.

On the flipside, if AE close out the show and put on a poor show you get to leave early and not endure them.

I've been holding off gig tickets unless something amazing came along, think this might be the first

I do not feel adventurous enough to buy the tickets. Hmmmm, I'll keep it in mind though as I would really want to go. Only seen Behemoth once but they put an amazing show. Carcass along with unto Others would be sick too since I have never seen them live.

Too much Covid is making your Concert-experience rusty, man. A veteran would know that is the perfect opportunity to hang out at the bar or buy all the merch unexperienced losers try to buy at the end of the show causing a big ass queue and you end up taking your bus/train late because of it.

This works much better in a festival environment, for a one-night show I'd rather be into all performing bands.

The fact that Carcass logo is below Arch Enemy's logo kinda bothers me.

It's based on sales, etc., nothing to do with the quality of either band's music.
