According to a posting on Gorgoroth's official web site, the group's frontman, Gaahl, was finally released from prison last month after being jailed since the spring of 2006.

Gaahl was sentenced to 14 months in prison in February 2005 for beating a 41-year-old man and threatening to drink his blood. The 31-year-old, whose real name was not revealed by the Norwegian media, was charged with a crime that carries a maximum penalty of nine years in prison. The original 18-month sentence, which was handed down in May 2004, was reduced by four months while the amount in damages Gaahl was required to pay to the victim was increased from 100,000 NOK (approximately $15,000) to 190,000 NOK (approximately $29,000).

The lesson here is, if you're gonna drink someone's blood, don't tell them. Just do it.

Threaten to drink his blood? Awesome.

Although the real black metal thing to do would have already drain him of his blood to make tie-dyed shirts before the victum could say 'God help me'.

Lock up your 41 year olds!

Does this mean Gorgoroth will get back on the road again? When they last came here it clashed with Opeth.

Nothing wrong with drinking blood right.....:D
DL-Lauri - 09.01.2007 at 21:38
I wonder if Gorgoroth will do a cover from Breaking The Law now.. Feeling a bit sorry to the 41-year-old guy. I pity da fool to mess with Gaahl.

Ah so this prison thing must be the reason for Gorgoroth going sucky-mode.

Justice department must increased verdict, because victim didn't want to give his blood to thirsty Metal-Head... so it was a insolent beating in their opinion...
Seriously: I don't know, only speculated... (as you probably noticed hehehe)
Good that he went out - by the way...
