Australian death metal band Descend To Acheron share with great sadness the news of the sudden death of Matthew David Phillips, their bass player.
Statement from the band: "It is with broken hearts that we say goodbye to long-time friend and amazingly talented Matthew David Phillips after his sudden and tragic death.
"You were not only our first choice for bass player, but your sharp wit and amazing sense of humour made you a joy to be around. Our condolences go out to your wife Diana, family, friends and all of the people whose lives you touched. You were loved by many and will greatly missed by many. Thank you for the time we shared."
