Sadus - Call It Quits

Bay Area extreme metallers Sadus have announced that the release of their long-awaited sixth studio album has been cancelled, and added that the band is over after nearly four decades together. The new album, which Sadus had been working on since 2017, would have been their first full-length since 2006's Out For Blood.

Vocalist and guitarist Darren Travis issued the following statement on the band's Facebook page: "Everyone that donated to our Sadus recording budget... THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR YOUR DEDICATION TO THE BAND... AND YOUR CONTINUED SUPPORT. You will be getting a full refund anytime now. Thank you again.. good bye."

I can't believe it! A band that was never metal mainstream, yet I always felt it belonged with the top Thrash/Death bands.

Do yourself a favour and listen to the first three albums, those of you who haven't. The beast on bass is Steve DiGiorgio

I still remember the first time I listened to Swallowed In Black, without previously knowing anything about this band. I just saw the cover and bought it. Those impulse buys were sometimes so rewarding.

This is how I discovered about half of the bands I fell in love with between 95 and 10. A large part of the rest were from reading the liner notes in the first half's albums.

I miss the days record stores
