After the worldwide success of previous album "The winter wake", Elvenking are proud to announce all the details about the new album.
The album title is "The Scythe" and it will be released on September 14th through AFM records in all European countries.
Here are their licensee partners over the world so far:

USA: Candlelight
Canada: PHD
Russia: CD Maximum
Japan: Asian Alliance
South-America: Laser Records
More news about release dates in these countries to follow.

As previously announced lyrically it is a theme-album about Death and all the songs are related to the topic.

Nice, cool artwork, but not as good as the last one from "The Winter Wake".
I'll probably go for the Digipak version since I wanna see this music video! Wohoo!

for most bands i'd say this is a pretty cool cover album,
yet for Elvenking i dont think this looks good, it doesnt look so folky/happy/naive, lol

Ooh - this looks amazing! And folk is full of pain, death and torment so I'm REALLY looking forward to this. I love the bouncy Elvenking a la 'Pagan Purity', but some darker songs would be fantastic!

Im so excited for the new album, but id have to agree this is an amazing album cover but it just doesnt quite fit with elvenking. Im not sure if i like it for them. None the less im fucking stoked

Can't wait to get this one either, I was not massively impressed with The Winter Wake, the theme and cover seem interesting, and not one I expected Elvenking to take up, so in anticipation here too!
