Michael Stützer, from Danish thrash legends Artillery had this to say on the Artillery website:

"Artillery is B.A.C.K!!!

I am happy to announce, that Artillery has begun rehearsing (instrumental), with a present line-up consisting of:

Lead guitar: Morten Stützer
Bass: Peter Thorslund
Drums: Carsten Nielsen
Lead guitar: Michael Stützer

We have already cleared Terror Squad, Cybermind, The Eternal War and Khomaniac, and we have two confirmed offers at hand: Keep It True festival in Germany, and at Voxhall, Aarhus, Denmark.

We also have some new material which may just lead to a new studio album; however; nothing is confirmed...."

Faking great I love those guys
GT - 17.11.2007 at 00:10
Honestly never heard about these guys but if they play here in Århus I might check them out

great band. good news i guess.......ummmm why is 'back' abbreviated
Rupert - 17.11.2007 at 02:21
Never heard any of them, but I may check them out. Are they instrumental thrash now, or are they still looking for a singer?
Existenzangst - 17.11.2007 at 02:44
well, hate to be the pesimist in the round, but it will suck. i love their 3 albums, but c'mon, so many bands tried all these comebacks and none of them could really bring something good, with some exceptions maybe. they already had a chance in 1999 when they brought out ther first full-lenght after 9 years, and it was nothing spectacular, and this time it will suck, again, i'm sure.

why is 'back' abbreviated

it is a play on their 1999 album entitled "B.A.C.K."

Rupert: they are looking for a singer

This should be interesting. Remind me to download some of their material.
Lokomotiv - 17.11.2007 at 06:01
Artilelry is one of the Thrash bands I most respect... I hope this will be interesting
Rupert - 17.11.2007 at 07:33
Aw Baz, now they don't seem so intriguing, but I'll still check them out I think.

Although I do love Artillery a lot I am not too excited about it. First of all their first reunion cd was mediocre at best, and I have to admit that their first three albums didn't age too well at all. I noticed it once again when I bought the Through The Years boxset.
Charly546 - 17.11.2007 at 12:07
Woohoo, this is great. I hope this time they do something better than B.A.C.K.
ThunderAxe1989 - 17.11.2007 at 15:17
oooohhh okay, see I don't check for old thrash bands coming back. It's never the traditional thrash i'm looking for.

Okay that could be the case, but then why do you really like Onslaught, Exciter, Destruction, Overkill, Living Death, Razor?

i like their '80's stuff. i find that when thrash bands make a return, the sound always changes noticably.

Artillery are scheduled to enter the studio around February 2009 to begin recording a new album for a tentative late 2009 release. Yay!
