An announcement on the official Benemoth website that:

"Behemoth has inked a North American deal with Metal Blade Records and with Nuclear Blast for European territory."

"The band recently finished up an extremely successful year which saw the band as direct support to headliners Hatebreed on the infamous second stage at Ozzfest and a co-headlining spot on the Radio Rebellion with Job for a Cowboy. Behemoth played over 160 shows in 2007 and has no plans on slowing down for 2008. Expect to see a new release in the form of an EP out in the summer/fall of 2008 along with more touring on both continents."

Cool, hopefully they tour the states again

Hmm.. Only one EP? That can't be... And I hoped to get a new ALBUM from them as I was disapointed to Apostasy =/

Touring?

Perhaps...maybe...with...Dimmu Borgir?

I see it in the future.

a new EP? i guess that's good news
BitterCOld - 12.01.2008 at 00:21
not sure if i am happy with this or not - given Metal Blade's recent "staunch defense" of one of the bands on their label, Middian.

And when I say "staunch defense," I mean none at all.

I guess I'll order my copy of the next Behemoth album from overseas so I can bypass metal blade altogether.

Kinda fits doesn't it? Two bands that began as black metal (Behemoth far blacker than DB could ever hope to be) and have since turned into Elite Poseurs.

How the mighty have fallen ...

You say this as if they haven't sold out already. Very interesting ... perhaps you are blind and deaf?

Hahaha...no am not.....I AM aware that they sold out to a certain degree....but they are far from CoF or Dimmu Borgir...for now though...
Although you cannot state that they are a mainstrem metal bend...I mean....in Serbia,Croatia,Bosnia there were less than 300 ppl on their shows....and they knew that the situation was going to be such...and still they performed quality concerts there....
Anyway you are right, I should have wrote "Sell out Big time..."
