Mnemosyne Productions are pleased to report that Opeth mastermind Mikael Åkerfeldt has performed lead vocals for the song "Unhealer" from the upcoming Ihsahn album, "angL".
"We´ve been talking about doing something for a while and I´m really happy it finally came together. Needless to say, Mikael´s performance is nothing short of amazing!" says Ihsahn.
Asgeir Mickelson once again handles drums for the album. Ihsahn has also handed over bass duties to Asgeir's colleague from Spiral Architect, Lars Norberg. "Asgeir and Lars have delivered a rock-solid foundation for the whole album. Pounding blast-beats to slow fretless passages are all performed with great precision," Ihsahn continues.
Ihsahn previously described the musical direction of the new CD as "a natural progression from "The Adversary" [2006], but with a somewhat heavier touch."
Mnemosyne Productions/Candlelight Records has set a May 27 North American release date for the new solo album from former Emperor vocalist/guitarist Ihsahn.

| Damn, that sounds awesome! |

| Holy shit! Åkerfeldt and Ihsahn, this sounds too good to be true! |

| Sounds cool, but The Adversary was probably one of the worst albums I've ever heard. He cant sing (anymore?), his production is thin and terrible, Mickelson needs to lose the triggers, Ihsahn needs to drop the solos. If he plans on doing anything good ever again, he should look back to In the Nightside Eclipse or Anthems to the Welkin at Dusk and drop the whole "Dream Theatre goes black metal" bullshit. |

| I enjoyed The Adversary, and the collaboration with Åkerfeldt sounds interesting. Can't wait! |

hey Feanor88, I don't care what's your feeling but there's a ton of metalheads out there who really digg Adversary, may be you've never listened to progressive metal at all. Com'on Ihsahn is fucking far away from true raw Black metal, take some innovation and give him a big compliment.
Also, who doesn't like solo guitar in Adversary must have not ears lol
Cheers |

Yeah. And then gets covered in shit for doing what he did years ago, and probably worse (cause face it, you can't go back in time).
Or he does something new.
Either way, he's fucked, but which metal musician isn't, nowadays? |

| Ihsahn's great solo, but we need a new emperor album too! Bruce Dickinson & King Diamond both have bands they belong to as well as have a solo deal too. |
