Mayhem - Australian And New Zealand Tour Postponed

Due to the recent amendments of the entertainment visa requirements set by the Australian Immigration Department, Mayhem will not be able to get their visas approved in time for their scheduled Australian and NZ tour dates. As a result, tour promoter Just Say Rock in conjunction with Mayhem, have decided to postpone the tour to later this year.

All parties are now working on new dates for the Mayhem tour. The new dates will be released ASAP.

Any patron wishing to obtain a refund for their current ticket can do so by returning it to the point of sale to get the face value refunded. However, tickets will still be good for the rescheduled show.

Do you know what these new laws are? I haven't even heard of them. This new government is seeming more like a dog's breakfast with each day.

Nevermind guys, Mayhem are notorious for being disappointing live anyways (in the recent past that is). Saw them a couple of months back and actualy left before the gig was finished. A singer covered in empty beer glasses, crisp packets and various other types of rubbish was a real turn off...

Oh c'mon, it's not like they've cancelled the tour. At least it's still going ahead.

Bands everywhere (not just Australia) have had to postpone tour dates because of visa issues and it's happened numerous times so this is nothing out of the ordinary.

Good news for Australia, as Mayhem have issued the following update:

"As many of you know, the previous Australian tour [set to take place late May 2008] was cancelled. Mayhem was extremely disappointed and outraged for the cancellations. This was COMPLETELY out of the band's control. Mayhem wants to let you know that the fans Down Under have not been forgotten. An Australian tour is in the works right now. Mayhem will not release official dates until the tour is SOLID to avoid any further disappointments or screw-ups! Just wanted to let everyone know that the band knows Australia demands Mayhem and they will answer the call! Look for dates in the VERY near future..."
