Vocalist Stéphane Paré, drummer Yanic Bercier and bassist Dominic "Forest" Lapointe have announced their departure from Quo Vadis.

''As of today, July 13th, we are officially leaving the band for various reasons. As for the shows that are already booked, we are still going to perform as agreed, on a professional basis.

This decision is the hardest for drummer Yanic Bercier as he has been in the band since day one, 15 years ago. As for vocalist Stéphane Paré, he was in the band for more than 5 1/2 years.

WTF!!!!
This is horrible, I love this band, this is probably going to be the end for Quo Vadis if Yannick isn't there anymore
SlaytallicA - 13.07.2008 at 22:12
F*ck! Why it happened??
Thrashette - 13.07.2008 at 22:21
Ouch, seriously sucks
I actually like this band a lot. I wonder what's going to happen to them in the rather near future
Derelict Earth - 13.07.2008 at 22:22
Oh damn it ! It won't be Quo Vadis anymore ...
LeChron James - 13.07.2008 at 22:38
whoever they recruit for bassist and drummer are probably going to be inferior to Bercier and Lapointe
Stalker - 13.07.2008 at 22:58
No...No this cant be... Oh fuck... This looks like the end of a great band
Asitis - 13.07.2008 at 23:46

Wooow, damn, that's a pretty hard decision. Really sad to hear this.
broken goddess - 14.07.2008 at 01:41
that sucks!!! it's a shame when such a good band calls it quits.
Abattoir - 14.07.2008 at 14:26
Bad news from a good band...
Stigmatized - 14.07.2008 at 14:44
Ah, this is a shame, especially Yanic leaving, who is a great drummer. I hope to still hear more from them in the future.
Stigma - 14.07.2008 at 18:12
What the hell!? Has anyone more detailed information about the reasons?
4look4rd - 14.07.2008 at 18:56

I know, it pisses me off that the band quits, but it pisses me off even more when they don't bother to explain why, you would think thats the main interest of the news is to know why.

Its a good band, we have all day to learn about why they quit.
Samael - 14.07.2008 at 22:53
Shit I saw Stephane saturday after the At the Gates show and he didn't mention that, like if everything was normal for the band. Yanic and Forest are in the top musicians in the scene here and Stephane is also a great vocalist so it's sad to see that... unless they start something new together.

BurbotsRevenge - 15.07.2008 at 08:39
thats news i didnt need to hear...
White Winter Sun - 15.07.2008 at 12:24
Sad news. I hope that the next news of the band will be much more enthusiastic... and that they will reconstruct a solid and good music as before.
ß - 15.07.2008 at 15:58
It's really sad to see. All of them had lots of talent and it's a shame to see them leave the band
PaTa - 15.07.2008 at 17:05
sad really but maybe they r planning to make new band? if this is true then it will be something similar to quo vadis which means it will be AWSOME
Darth Satanious - 17.07.2008 at 21:45
I hope this doesn't mean the end of the band, but on the other hand I hope it is if the replacements for them would end up affecting the quality of their music. I bet this won't be the last time we will hear from these three guys, hopefully.
RazorOfTheLight - 18.07.2008 at 03:13
This is fucking horrible!
Visioneerie - 18.07.2008 at 20:03
It's pathetic how some bands just don't explain the reason of their departure ... These guys were among my favorite musicians.
opeth771 - 09.12.2008 at 03:42
Wow... I was just thinking the same thing... but now, as their new lineup was announced... I think this is the begining of a new era...

Marc-André Gingras or "MAG" is an AWESOME guitarist, you will see.

And what to say about Patrice Hamelin... Super fast kicks, this drummer is SICK. Listen to their new song on their myspace, it is going to be great
