I think they just accepted the fact that they are rich enough already, and that the internet is the future. I mean, you see news like this about streaming complete albums every day now! It would hurt their image even more if they didn't do this.

That's probably true. Plus, maybe, the interview with Lars in the movie "World Metal" made them think about it. Lars was told that a lot of people around the world know about them just because of the Internet, so probably they just drew up some conclusions...

Lol, you kiddin me, no way can they be rich *enough*, when still out there are legions of fanboys, loyal-to-the-death for no apparent reason, buying their overpriced DM Dethkoffin...

P.S. Oh my, this actually sounded like a Dethklok reference...

That's funny... I always thought a monkey played drums for Metallica...
Fat & Sassy! - 14.09.2008 at 02:53
Oh, oh, oh, this just in... Metallica's vocalist is actually not a real caveman...
Savage Messiah - 14.09.2008 at 11:35
I went out. I bought it. I love it.
Hail, Metallica!
The Black Halo - 14.09.2008 at 15:39
Eh, The Unforgiven III was a slight disapointment. Not because of the title, but as a whole itself. Great solo, Hetfield sounded good, but the song was average to say the least. It would have probably been more successful if they didnt name it that, because just by titling it Unforgiven it raises the standards for all the fans.

The Judas Kiss was awesome, pretty decent album all around. I think anything is an improvement from the trashcan banging days of St. Anger.
Kap'N Korrupt - 15.09.2008 at 04:46
What's wrong with them being cool with streaming their new album anyway...it just seems to me that they finally realize that they were wrong about the shit they pulled with Napster...but they don't have to make a big deal about it...'we're Metallica and we're streaming our album online...it's not like anyone else does this'...hahaaha...I mean, Trent did this recently with The Slip...

Well, the three songs I've heard so far sound pretty well,..... yes it sounds like Metallica, the one I knew from Kill'em to the Black album.
I will think of this as the reunion, as if they had not played since 1992.
I was not too sure how this album would sound, I had lost hope, but I am very glad they are still able to make metal.
I will then probably go see them live in Columbus OH.
nb - 12.11.2008 at 17:20
I just saw them play on Sunday here in Columbus OH. That was a good concert. The only played songs from the new album and from the Black album and backwards, so, no bad songs.
Great show they put together.
