What is these guys' problem with the English language? I Could Care Less, as of yet, they might as well have named the band We Drived the Devil |

| I didnt ask for your opnion on the topic. I could care less. |

There's nothing wrong in I Could Care Less. Depends on what you're trying to say, really.
Hope it will be good. |

A 40yo American singing I could care less than for your grandiosity / I had to skin the cat for curiosity at the same pacing for each syllable... "I couldn't care less for your grandiosity" is what he was looking for but he's too much of a fucking disgrace for that |

I can't understand if you're criticizing his English or the quality of his lyrics anymore. Whatever man... |

The pacing is a matter of personal preference. I think it sounds pretty good. Why are you on here if you don't like the music? You should find a new hobby.
Personally, I think arguing about the "could/couldn't" thing is pretty sad. But I've seen so much of it on Youtube, and now here, that I thought I'd comment on it. I'm a degree level English student, and basically, saying "I could care less" is perfectly okay. It's a colloquial phrase which essentially means exactly the same as "I couldn't care less". Neither version is more valid or correct than the other. If anything, the "could care less" variant is set to surplant the "couldn't care less" version of the phrase. So, too bad for you. Try again. |

If you're unable to spell "supplant" I'm not really going to take your grammatical advice, now, am I? "I could care less" = "I do care somewhat" which is the opposite of what he means - and I have never heard it said intentionally sarcastically - case closed. Don't tell me, it's illegal or anti-metal to have a bit of downtime and to care about preserving good English so that people can understand each other? |
