hahaha why? Eventough I find their debut awful I have to say this new song sounds like decent party music. |

WorpeX, they played "Keelhauled" when I saw them about a week ago, so I wouldn't be at all surprised if they did.
What? No songs with the word "wench" or some kind of alcohol/tavern in the title? I'm shocked.
They would be such a guilty pleasure band, except I can't bring myself to feel guilty about liking them. They're too much fun. |

They played Pirate song and Keelhauled when I saw them during the Pagan Knights tour earlier this month. They're definitely an entertaining and fun band to see. Looking forward to the new album |

The artwork is quite nice [specially the rat jajajajaj ]
But it's a shame that the music is just terrible for me. |

Nice artworks, nice new song, too bad they don't come to Hungary this time..
Oh, and don't you think the song is very similar to Paghania's Fiesta Vikinga? |

Same here. That new song made their first album sound like a masterpiece. |

| A real nice cover it is. I like seeing dead pirates like that. Those pirates would win against any Pirate of the Caribbean in a fight (referencing the film series). |

The coverart must be one of the worst I've seen...
As for the song; and I thought their debut totally sucks.
Their vocalist sounds even worse on this song and the accordion is just fucking annoying
The violin is nice, have to give them that, but it really can't save this piece of crap
They're amusing to watch live (as the lowest opening band that is) but I really can't understand anyone who's ready to pay money for this album (or their previous one, or a concert they're headlining) |
|
|
|
Quite overrated, saw them live and it wasnt so good, going again in Glasgow but only to see Tyr Running Wild are THE band |

I agree. Me and the other dudes that dislike this song shouldn't be here.
We all know already that this band is a pure joke
Seriously... I listened to the song on that website. The violen was ok. But like Bas said: It can safe the band by any means. |

| Pretty bad to say the least, the vocals are incredibly annoying and I don't care much for the accordion. |

| "Keelhauled" its not as good as I thought :-/... Maybe they are already lacking in creativity... |

I agree. Such a mediocre and boring band with awful vocals, I don't understand why people make such a fuss about it. (though if they're the kind of people who think anything remotely Powermetal is great, then it explains the situation very well) |
|
|
|
Don't know why so many people dislike like this band...???
I absolutely love them. And they're first album was great in my opinion. Doesn't matter though, everyone likes what they like I guess! |
|
|
|
On one side, I really, really enjoy the music - I've a fondness for pirates - the catchy melodies and sing-a-long choruses are making me happy. And so does also the accordion. While I understand the problem some people have with the vocals, I find myself liking the roughness of it. It sounds different.
It's sort of happy music, and I think it is nice.
Though on the other side I'm not a big fan of unfitting/overused synthesizers/keyboards. And they do have many of them. The melodies and some elements are unfitting at times, not blending in with the pirate-theme. [But maybe I just think so 'cause I'm not so fond of this kind of symphonic elements (;]
But, they play their instruments well, and I think there is nothing wrong with some "slight fare" [is this the right phrase?].
I don't see the point why the band is so polarising. While it is perfectly fine to not like them, it is also fine to like them.
[Besides, there isn't a really wide range of pirate-themed/pirate-sounding music out there. ] |
