It's a real shame, cowboys could be really metal. If I had any technical skill with any true metal instrument (a classification that has been overwhelmed by folk metal), I would probably try to use some Ennio Morricone-esque riffs, a bit like what Metallica did on the Black album but way more metal.

I think they are an ok band. I don't buy into that "I hate all deathcore" crap. It seems that the trend today for "true" metallers is to hate on any genre that has core on the end of it. Let's not forget that hardcore led to the evolution of a lot of the extreme genres we know and love today.

Job For A Cowboy is completely overrated as a metal band. There is a track here or there that is mediocre at best. If you listen to 'Genesis,' you don't know where one track ends and another begins, except for the opening of "The Divine Falsehood" ... 'Doom' sucked, PERIOD. It seems to be the same with their most recent release- it's the exact same thing all over again. If you ask me the guys in Vehemence never should have parted ways to begin with, and just kept releasing better material than this new grindcore, over-distorted, noise shit that JFAC, White Chapel, and other similar bands are doing. It's annoying as shit, and giving metal a bad reputation.

I have listened to the Doom ep and quite liked it. I listened to Ruination and found it very boring and repetitive. I have not listened to Genesis, but I can only assume it is somewhere between the two. As for all the hype, I do think they are pretty overrated.

Because gojira owns behemoth in many many ways. For me Gojira is like opening a window in a toilet of repeatable extreme metal, Behemoth has nothimg to say and nothing would change in nearest future for sure.
JFAC is two or three good songs in a sea of average, nothing special especially after they went to classic death metal way - theyre one along tousends, nothing more. In fact - hugely overrated.
