My old Olympus film camera has broken, and I don't know how to fix it. The problem is - right in the middle of shooting about a year ago, the shutter froze open and I have not been able to close it or get my camera operating again. The model is old so I'm pretty sure they don't make parts for it anymore, so how should I go about finding replacement parts? Also, when I find parts, how should I go about fixing it (fix it myself or take it to a camera shop/store)?

I'm not sure what the model is, it says 'OM G" at the top left corner (when the lens is facing you) if that helps. I can take and upload pictures of the camera, but I figured I'd start off without it.

Whatever you do, dont do it yourself, take it first to some photo shop or whatever, give it to some professional to take a look. Its the best and only right thing you can do IMO. Good luck.
