After Crying play progressive rock. They released a considerable number of albums between 1989 and 2003. While heavily influenced by Emerson, Lake & Palmer, they added a number of unique elements to their sound, including prominent cello, flute, trumpet, and choral-like vocals. They sometimes perform with traditional chamber or symphony orchestras. Their studio albums contain numerous variations in instruments and composition.

Their music is usually instrumental, but sometimes they do use vocals. It has a dark, sometimes even haunting atmosphere.

After Camel's Snow Goose I need something just like that. Getting Show. I usually always check the first album of a band before venturing into their other releases, but not this time it seems.

I just downloaded De Profundis and I'm loving the instrumentals, but the vocals completely ruin the dark atmosphere. I love the chamber choir and the classical instruments the most, and I think I'll be playing Bevezetes nonstop for the rest of the day.

Actually, now that I listen to more of it, the album sounds more happy than dark. But I dunno....music like this takes a while to digest.
