I feel the need to mention just how retarded this rule is. It's just an annoyance as in this thread. Wouldn't it make more sense to just lock threads when they've been dormant for a long time rather than interrupting an ongoing discussion???? It's a pain in the ass since you can no longer quote the things you want to reply to in the old thread. It seems really pointless and discourages discussion.

i didnt mean generally, i like i get notifications that i get quoted, it sometimes means that an interesting discussion is coming up in the forums..

but i just have the feeling that only few people that are quoted by totaliteraliter really enjoy the long drawn-out and annoying discussions that often follow, that's all that i meant

This is something I'll get behind...I can't stand it when a good discussion gets going and all of a sudden someone quotes something from pages back and it just seems to out of the blue and doesn't go along with the flow of the thread...

Ok guys, for now we are changing this 500 post rule thing to 1000 posts to see how that goes. This might not be permanent, we're just seeing how it goes - so please don't report any more threads with 500 posts for the time being.

How about those where are pfotos like picture tread close faster because its hardly loads for me even whit 500 and less

That has nothing to do with how many pictures are in posts in the thread as a whole. How fast your page loads is only affected by the one page you are loading and the pictures on that.

Yeah I enjoy being quoted. I like waking up in the morning to find a shitload of notifications, and of course the regular 100 PMs from some of my lady fans. But seriously, its something I find more interesting to go over than the newspaper when Im having my coffee.<br />

Anyways, a little more on track. I never really understood the 500 posts lock thing anyways....kinda one of those things I just accepted and never really questioned until I saw this thread.
