Yeah, metalstorm of steel was pretty damned funny (I actually fell for this years shortly) Also, there was the year that they took people's user names and posts and made them backwards and indecipherable.

Right! Now that you mention it I think I remember something like that... but maybe I wasn't a member then? 'Cuz I was around this site for several months before making a profile. Can Ivan or any other mod help us with the years of every joke please?

Wasn't Discostorm and the hacking all the same? I remember that many actually felt for it, as metalstorm had been hacked not too long ago...

I'm sure it was something in 2006, but for some reason nobody seem to remember it...

Edit: it is like gBrAiSm (or bas) said, first it was Discostorm in 2005, the hacking by discofans beacuse discostorm made fun of John Travolta, then metalstorm of stell with K7-writing.


To Those how you that were a memeber even further back, what was it in 2003 and 2004? If you had April fool jokes back then that means...

My favorite one was disco storm when all the names of sub-genres of metal were changed around and everything...that one was pretty creative...I don't remember the K7 styled one...damn my bad memory to hell with all the other ones from back to 2003 with me...

I completely believed that they hacked the page because some days before to the prank I remember that there were some serious bans going on and I thought that someone had taken revenge or something. I fell to the point that I only noticed the prank the day after, after the joke was over. I didn't dare to click anything and get a virus or something. lolz

I still have the logo from Disco storm. It was about a month after I got a new pc so i set it as background.

Disco storm was the only one i remembered off hand, it was done very well

i remember when the joke was that MS was hacked, a guy made a thread on the MA forums, asking around what could have happened.
