nice collection Metal_Militia ! (Atheist, Cynic, Death and Pestilence especially haha)

A question for you all, lately I am getting more and more interested into WHITE coloured band tshirts, especially after I saw a very cool Bolt Thrower one long ago. Know any others ?

Kaamos recently made one, remember Grave having one too. Watain had a limited one at their anniversary gig, I guess I was too stoned to buy one, shame...

I just got white shirts from Dead Congregation & Drowned, made for their Finnish mini tour.

The back side might look better (front would be like too big and wide with the logo), but I personally dislike cutting-off tshirts to use as backpatches.... they look awkward. I have a patch with the same design on my jacket, but obviously not as big, the design is very cool indeed

Yeah I figured the front might be a bit big, but it's a girly medium so might not. The back might be more appropriate anyway.

If you're careful cutting it into a decent shape (a rectangle preferably) it can look as good as a pre-bought back patch. With a bit of luck. I did the same to my grindcore jacket, which turned out pretty well. At least I think so anyway =P

Just bought this (for a future death metal patch-jacket back patch. Thinking a dark grey denim jacket for this one, if I can find one)

Not sure which design I'll go for though on a jacket. Both look pretty rad.

Where can I buy girls in Portal shirts?

I don't buy band t-shirts so often. Got this last month.

Yeah, I remember your jackets (the grindcore and the black metal one too). Totally awesome, some of the best I've seen, so if you do a death metal one now I suppose it will just as cool (the Pig Destroyer backpatch looks good, coz it actually fits perfectly in the rectangle ).

Actually that back patch got me into trouble a few weeks ago when I was at a gig in socialist bar. A bunch of regulars there decided to get together and tell me they thought it / I was sexist because of the way it depicted women. One of the fuckers even tried spraypainting it while my back was turned. Luckily someone noticed and I managed to wipe most of it off, though the boob area is now a little darker than it was ¬_¬

Made some heavy changes to patch vest, cutting of the sides so it fits me better (was too large...), organising and putting fewer patches so it looks more symmetric (still need to sew most of em). Back side needs some work still, need a patch to mirror the Portal one and maybe replacing the Hypocrisy one with a white/black to fit better.

After this one, might do another but I'm still looking for one of those elusive black jean vest my size

Looks very nice indeed. I think the curvature on the seam would annoy me though haha. So many times on ebay I saw a really nice looking denim jacket and then saw the back, which often had that design. It's really common. More of an issue with my need to be precise with right-angles than anything though.

As for holding for a black denim jacket I wouldn't bother. I did and got bored waiting for one to appear with a decent design so I ended up just get a dark-ish blue one and dying it black. You can get some good results doing that, as long as the jacket isn't made from synthetic material it should dye fine. Of course if you can get a good black one then even better.

Thanks ! And indeed, the curvature on the seam is extremely annoying (plus the vest itself is badly manufactured, the left side is wider which multiplies the annoyance factor coz it's never symmetric...).

Btw, what did you use to dye yours (never dyed textile stuff so no idea) ?? Does the colour hold on well enough (as in, resists water, beer and other gig/festival ravages ) ??

I used dylon velvet black I think, if I remember rightly. It's a year old and not a drop of the colour has come out. As long as the jacket is cotton or something and not polyester or nylon it should dye black and stay black. I think thread on the seams is usually synthetic so that won't dye. It didn't on mine but it doesn't make much difference, can barely see it really.

Too many patches IMO, looks to clustered. I applaud your effort though. My lest vest went through the wash and shrunk like you wouldn't believe. :'(

EDIT: the one in my profile pic, haha I forgot that was there.

Anyone put buttons on their vests?
