Hey, guys! Don't you think it's high-time someone started a new topic about one of my favourite (and not only mine, actually) bands - Nightwish?

I adore them - both with Tarja and with Anette!

Well, I think there is not much for me to say, as I've already written most of the things I've wanted to.

So, feel free to discuss things, related to the topic 'Nightwish'.

P.S.: No arguing and offensing, please! Long ago, there have been rules added, which are meant to show what's not to do on this forum.

Facebook update from Nightwish page:

Jukka's Family Grows

A healthy baby girl with a weight of 3 770 grams (8.31 lb) and a height of 50,5 cm (19.9") was born today, June 22, to Jukka and Satu Nevalainen. As Emppu put it: "Great lovers have baby girls!"

Damn funny. But shit, what has happened to Annette? The pregnancy has caused all of her hair to fall out.

Tarja was okay enough, but something really bugged me about her faux-operatic style, which includes her crappy vibrato. It was quirky and somewhat interesting, but vocals are a big thing for me and I can't help but be annoyed. Annette, while lacking that interesting quirkiness of Tarja, sounds much better and has a much more clean, skilled voice, and she hits all of her notes quite accurately.

I'm a fan of Anette too. I like Tarja in those more dynamic songs, cause in slow ones she moans like a pregnant rhino. Just saying.

I'm very interested in the movie they're making.

I've understood Anette's expecting her third child and she's due to give birth in about two months... That means she was already expecting during the tour and that also explains why Floor had to replace her somewhere around October or November... it would've been impossible for Anette to continue...

Currently enjoying the heck out of Oceanborn. I really should dig deeper into Power Metal, but it's one of the few metal genres I don't have much experience in. Alright, so maybe Nightwish isn't Power Metal, but surely there is some influence that will help me get into the genre. Baby steps, right?

Nightwish is certainly power metal...but do yourself a favor and listen to Helloween
