Yes and the worst part is that right now, with access to information, the people can read any of these two bills and see how fucked up they are. But if the government says it's for the best they prefer to stay ignorant and put their trust in that bullshit. C-38 is a huge text I know, but they could at least see the big picture behind it.

well, what I hate about my country is the corruption(government and public services) and the media manipulation upon the common people. And they, sometimes acts together the government using the media to handle the normal people.

And the worst part of this are the false "revolutionaries", yes let me explain. They are a mount of teachers of brazilian universities who has bad incomings (ok till there the protest are fair). They use, to manipulate students, the argument about the bad universities conditions (bathrooms, classrooms and the all structure); after they (teachers) get their increasement of their amounts, they forget the argument about the structure and what they promissed, or the string to puppet the students, and flew out returning to their normal classes. Happened recently, and always happens.

Another episody. In Brazil, we have for each job category a kind of sindicate, or some legal representation of category. Well what happen, it has some "head staff" of some "legal representations" who want to deafeat your adversary, or some personal advantage, so what he/she does: they use the people who is filiated under the "legal representation" to make a public disorder, and they invent some needs to make they angry. Ok using these thread, I'll tell about the brazlian public bus service. For highers profits, the owner of bus, pays "some money" for the head staff of the sindicate to make a paralisation, well telling that they(workers of bus services) need some income increasement, so using this argument, they beggin a great paralisation to, what the workers believes, for best incomings are just for profits of bus owner. But how does it works? ok to pay good incomes the bus tickets prices should be increased, example, if a bus ticket costs 1,00 U$$, so they want to price to 1,25 U$$. So they giva a minimun income profit to the workers and the bus owner gets a huge profits.

Ok what I wanna mean with these two histories, told, at least I tried, to tell how the manipulations does work in Brazil. That's what most I hate in Brazil, the way of who must to protect our interests, use the "flag" from legals representations just to attend the personal interests or worst the politicians interests. The way of the media manipulation, making us of "puppets", using generic interests to manipulating the citizens.

All you hear every day in America is pop music (Justin Bieber, Taylor Swift, modern country, etc.). Every day I see what seems like thousands of cars (which I hate; I can go into further details about that if you wish, but it's an unhappy subject), my friends make fun of my interest in classic music and clothing while they run around in Nike shorts and talk about how hot Hunter Hayes, or whoever he is, and Justin Bieber are. And everything you hear and see on t.v. and on the radio is just awful. I just don't like modern times here, I guess.

About politicians, I don't particularly like expressing my political views too much online in order to avoid arguments because they irritate me, and because conflict freaks me out a little. But I will tell you that a certain socialist political wing appears to be be striving to run this country into the ground economically:necro:

I am American, but I moved back here because:

1. There is really no work to be found
2. Education is too damn expensive
3. Healthcare is obscene
4. The food is shit
5. I really dislike how America is one big shopping mall

I actually had an injury and couldn't work, which I couldn't get treated because its too expensive. Got rejected by low cost, or free healthcare programs. So yeah, that sucked.

Nope. I am a complete Atheist.

I feel very lucky to be born and raised in the USA but we have plenty of flaws. We're pretty whiny for the richest country in the world. While we are good at some elements of health care (cancer treatment especially), the system as it is, is a joke. Politics are politics, but I think a lot of countries experience that. But yeah, I think in general our whiny attitude is just wicked annoying.

the job i had at the time didn't offer it, and when they cut the hours i didn't afford enough to buy health insurance, because if you aren't working - buying insurance is very expensive. also, im saying this not just on my experience, but i had a friend that is diabetic and before obama made the rule that you could go under your parent's insurance, she was paying over 500 dollars for her insurance.

of course it also depends, how you get your food and how much you pay. california seems to have better quality for example, but in general even the so called organic food seems to picked before its ripe. i grew up eating local food from farmers so im very spoiled in that sense, im sure if i went to europe i'd say their food sucks too. the quality of food that people think is good there makes me facepalm.

what i meant in terms of america being a shopping mall is the culture of consumerism, how people seemed to be concerned with the next gadget they will own and how the media programs people to spend money. the worst is during valentines day, christmas or whatever. its also unpleasant to see enormous walmart and mcdonalds signs raping the horizon wherever you go, its so so ugly.

You dont really know what hate is until you've dealt with American "democracy", affirmative action or the American evangelical movements. No really.... I just got a packing ticket (fine) for $200 because the parking maid, who CLEARLY had some learning impediment couldn't be bothered to look at the windshield that clearly displayed a paid parking stub. Furthermore I caught her writing the ticket and asked her about it as she proceeded to "let me know, that I should consider taking down my bumper decal". It was a rainbow flag my cousin pinned on because she made one is school and was proud of it. Nothing to do with LGBT pride. ..And yes, she was an affirmative action hire.

The best part is that the ticket is for a truck violation.... I have a small passenger car.
