OK, heres the deal, it started yesterday, or so, I came to Metal Storm, and I saw red Log In button flashing. Since I first time logged in here, about 3 years ago I never logged out. Now its really awkward for my to type in my password everytime to enter the site.

Just to note that I am using Firefox 3.0.1. and I did not make any changes lately, nor updated it, nor deleted the cookies, anything.

@ivor: does the ip change if i log on from different nets? because, yesterday i logged through my university net, and had to enter user name and password. and when i got back home and logged in here, i had to do the same. even now i had to enter both again, and i'm still at home. i'm guessing that may be the reason?...

Yes, logging in from different computer and/or different ip will force you to login.

i tried removing all of my cookies but still i have this problem.

You'll have to login each time your IP changes.

I log in from at least 3 different IPs and I have no problem with it. It's not like it takes you 5 min. each time

The cookies aren't working although there is the option and use it. after 10 minutes without movwment on the site i am out. should i do something???

Yes, same problem here, I check the site from 3 different places, BUT login only at home. Though, I seldom stay logged for more than one day through cookies. It is annoying to have to relog each time. This problems happens since the huge login problems some week ago. Before that I was logged for weeks until cookies die.

Is there something wrong with logging in these days? I always login by the cookies method (and have the cookies saved on my pc so I don't have to enter user name and password every time I log in), but now, for some reason, I have to. And I don't think it's a problem with my pc 'cause I'm logging without any problems on the other sites for which I also have cookies.

Yeah, the switch from .ee and .net probably has something to do with it. More people seem to be experiencing troubles. We ask your patience while Ivor does his best to sort out the problems. Moving domains is not everyday business for us, you know?
