Recently, album covers have been taking dives in quality. Helloween's CGI on "Gambling With the Devil" is god awful and dont even get me started on "Dance of Death". but some bands have high quality album covers on a constant basis. Maiden, Priest and to a degree, Slayer all have had pretty insane album covers over the course of their expansive careers. Bathory and Windir have really killer album art as well. what are your highlights and lowlights in terms of album art?

UPDATE: DAMNATED has brought to my attention that there is a thread talking about best album covers so from here (10/15/08), this thread is only regarding BAD album covers.

What album is that? Because it looks like it could be the best album ever.

Wreckage In The Flesh by Dr. Know, a great album it is.

Thanks. Punk... well, I'll give it a try. With a cover like that the music deserves to be heard.

Well, AllMusic called their music "standard-issue SoCal punk rock". Then you went with "crossover thrash" and camilord chose "pure thrash". Fascinating.

Anyway, I actually quite liked it. Didn't live up to the promise of the cover though.

I think Dr. Know were more punk before this album, or AllMusic confused them with the solo albums of Bad Brains guy Dr. Know (who is from New York and not SoCal like these guys)
