Always liked these guys: they write good melodies and have brainy albums.

Recently I found out they were an influence on both Celtic Frost and Burzum.

Now I'm starting to see how they helped shape metal....

Yes, they definitely know how to write a great melody. I love how every song conveys a different relationship of man with technology, whether it's a train, a freeway, neon lights, telephones, a camera, or radioactive substances. I never knew they influenced metal (besides the minor German "industrial" scene that touched slightly into the realm). I may look into the matter further...
