I listened in a couple of days ago (running it off iTunes) and after a while it seemed to lose the broadcast and couldn't connect to it again. It was annoying but I hope all works fine now.

Everything should be running fine. Always try to reconnect if it stops playing because sometimes network conjestion can get in the way.

then why not to add msr box ... that's much better

Does Firefox allows pop-ups from this site? This might be your problem, as I myself had this once.

It doesn't work with firefox unfortunately but you can log in straight to the stream from winamp.. -> add -> url

Great news. I listened metalstorm everyday at work a year ago. Then I went back to school to finish it and today is my first day at new work place. So, going to tune in soon.

Low stream! Woot! The low stream actually works reasonable well on my connection. It still buffers of course, but not every few seconds. What is the exact bit rate of low stream?

Just to Know, the Metal Storm Radio is not anymore a part of the Metal Storm Site?

I remember that the Metal Storm Site used to show what was playing in the Radio, and it used to have a link to it! Now it has anymore, I've had to find this topic (some days ago) to find the Radio!

Why the Radio is apart from the Site!

TIP: When tuned in the Radio you can save it as a playlist and open directly from your computer without having to open the Navigator. But you have to be connected to the internet to listen!
And If you only have the Windows Media Player you can open using the 'Open URL' > http://69.9.165.66:8024/ for high stream - or - http://70.85.72.122:8046/ for low stream!

Hi fade are you hosting all genres now or just the melodic metal, i remember old ms with the extreme stuff and the requesting, good times.

MSR is melodic metal station, including power metal, melodic death metal and some melodic doom. You can still request songs and they'll be played shortly

The reason why MSR is not part of MS anymore is that back in the days there was some technical problems with the radiobox so we decided to take it off and now with the new version it wasn't added anymore.

Like I said, the low stream works fairly well for me considering my connection. And I don't mind the sound quality. I've never been a stickler for sound quality. Like, I wouldn't rip songs to 28kbps, but it sounds good just for streaming

Ok. Now from memory when Metal Storm Radio originally started, it only played Melodic Metal. This was because it was what Fade wanted it to be like. Just Melodic. Then after a while it started playing other, more extreme styles until it played both. Then quite a while ago Fade made the decision to just be playing Melodic Metal, as this was what he intended it for, and it was his radio. So he did, lol. Then a while after that MSR became it's own site, and not just a link in Metal Storm.

Now anyone of higher authority and a better memory than I, feel free to correct me if needed!

The MS radio is great and have introduced me to a lot of new bands!

I have spread the Metal Storm Radio to some friends, and they (just like me) are tuned in it every day!

listening to it atthw mo and its 11 past 3 in the morning, and i have nothing better to do!

Just (re)found the Metal Storm Radio. I mean, it kicks ass, anyway. And I really like the request option and the thing that your request gets played so soon! I tune in regularly.

hey can anyone help me get it to run on iTunes - ive been going to the gargoyledawn site or watever and going to metal strom radio and it says page cant be displayed - ive tried a fair few times now but its still not working

I read somewhere that it was shut down by an American copyright enforcement agency...that might be why it can't be displayed

Hum, I tried to go to the radio's site but couldn't, instead there was this "Epic Rock Radio" which doesn't look as good as what MSR used to.
Anyway, I investigate and found in ERR forums that Fade seemed to have shut down MSR sometime in June 2007.
