Textures - New Video Online

Dutch metaller Textures have posted the music video for "Awake" on their MySpace page, you can check it out here.

The band comment: "The video was shot at the beginning of October in the Belgian Ardennes under supervision of director Rob Hodselmans (GEM, Room 11) and producer David Leite from Hazazah. The video has been possible thanks to a generous grant from the Dutch TAX funds - an incentive from the Dutch Government to assist up-and-coming Dutch artists with audio/visual output."

Sweet video. Although the short brief clips of fire could have been dropped in my opinion.
Would love to see them make a video of Storm Warning too if they got the chance to.

Is it me or does the softer part sound a lot like Devin Townsend? Great song though, forgot how good Textures is.

You aren't alone, the vocals are really almost the same tone and Townsend is quite a fan of the dreamy like soundwaves that envelope the music. It's not a bad thing though, not at all.

lol
Did you even get far enough into the part that doesn't "sound like Creed"? A song doesn't have to be mindlessly brutal and spastic to be good.

Yes of course, but IMO sounding like Creed for half the song does totally ruin it. Come on now, Neil Young is my favourite artist
