On that topic, I said something in the Ideas thread ../forum/topic.php?topic_id=8523&message_id=395358#m395358 but I got no response... and another idea four posts below that one.

edit - ...Also... are there any objective criteria regarding the adding/rejecting of a band that is admittedly hard rock, and not fully metal?

About your suggestion, it would be pretty hard to implement. The forum has a built-in system which logs your visits and visited topics. Doing something like that for the Band suggestions is not really worth it, I think.

And there are no objective criteria for adding hard-rock bands. If we feel a band belongs here, we add it. Everything is on a single case basis. Btw, I hardly have any say in it, so maybe other guys would explain the process better.

Can I add a Latin American Rock Band in the Rock Forum? (they only sign in Spanish though) I Know that theres other bands that sign in their native tongues, but just to be sure thought Id ask

I've always wondered why James Murphy as a solo artist is not featured on MS. He has two solo albums, really great albums - Convergence (1996) and Feeding the Machine (1999).

I did post this a little while ago in "Band suggestions" already but I feel Divine Empire does belong in the bands on Metal Storm.

Aside form the band being comprised of former members of malevolent creation it's solid US Death Metal. I gotta longer write up in the suggestions section so I'm not out to repeat that.

I dont know if this is the place to suggest it, but i think maudlin of the well and kayo dot should be seperated. While they have most of the same members, they are completely different in styles. Maudlin of the well is mostly jazz crossed with metal, whereas kayo dot is more of a post modernist classical band with only hints of metal.

This issue has sort of been addressed already in the past (recently, mind you). According to Kayo Dot's MySpace page, they are "ex-maudlin Of The Well". On their official website link (provided on the MySpace page) they claim MOTW "morphed" into Kayo Dot.

Corpse. They're a Bulgarian grindcore/brutal death band with the album Mortal Terror (1990) being the first grind album released on CD in Bulgaria, and often considered THE first Bulgarian grindcore band. Already on suggested bands list.

Is there a way to remove your vote from a suggested band that you gave? If not you should make there be a way just in case you accidentally give a vote for a band you didn't want to vote for, or perhaps you change your mind later.

I have not seen this anywhere in the forums. What can I do if there is a band I want to add that has the same name as another band? The system cannot read that I am not adding the same band again (the styles and links are different), and there's basically nothing I can do to make this work short of perhaps submitting it with the country added (as such ambiguous profiles once were in metal-archives v1).

Okay, I suggested. I wanted to get this right before submitting, since I'm helping these guys out a lot.

I would definitly suggest Lazarus AD. Those guys are a pretty good thrash band. I like them almost as much as Warbringer.
