my choice is Set, because unlike all these other guys Jon Schaffer of Iced Earth tried to really come up with a history, a back story, something more deep than just putting him on the album cover, he didn't make it a trademark of the band(like with Helloween and Motorhead) just yet, but it's good that he wanted to show more aspects of this guy rather than just singing about him.

Face it, there are people out there that aren't fans of Disturbed's icon. It happens. If someone were to rag on Roy the Reaper I wouldn't think it's because they hate extreme power metal, it's probably because they just see him as a boring ol' skeleton in a matte black robe with a scythe. (Note, already deconstructed Roy for you to save you time)

Vic Rattlehead can also be rendered to a skeleton with a visor, clamped shut mouth and closed ears, but he's the symbol of one of the most influential metal bands. Disturbed, on the other hand, are an overpraised, generic band whose character obviously doesn't help.
