If y'all haven't heard yet, thrash is back, bitches!! I don't mean metalcore with thrash influences, I mean real fucking thrash.

So, in honor of this new wave of thrash, we should make a list of new bands (or old bands with new shit) with some links to songs. I'll start the list off and edit as more people post bands and links to songs:

In alphabetical order, THE LIST:

-AGGRESSION: new Spanish band, released debut in 2009, falsetto-ish vocals, mostly mid to mid-fast paced, very fucking headbangable, and they love the tried/true thrash chugging.
Moshpirit: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=21A2zAUBgGE
Thrash and Kill: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V4OXd7oQrzM&feature=PlayList&p=763FFCA06C818133&index=2

-DESTRUCTION: the first of the German "Big 3" of Thrash, along with Kreator and Sodom. These fuckers have released a very fine catalog of thrash. They only have one guitar player, as opposed to the mass majority of other thrash bands that use 2, I think this was one of the reasons they weren't too huge in the Americas in the 80's. They released their debut in 1985. Mostly mid-fast and fast paced, higher pitch variety of vocals.
Thrash till Death: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RtVs5MYGOyo
Cracked Brain: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p444rqVXaD0
D.evolution: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=93B3HBAU-sY

-GAMA BOMB: Irish thrashers! Released their debut in 2005. Fast paced, vocals very reminiscent of GWAR, comical themes, fast-paced.
Final Fight: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CqZ0eJV7chY
Slam Anthem: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3si-5eo5t8Y

-KREATOR: these Germans are veterans to Thrash and released their debut in 1985, releasing a solid catalogue until the 90s when the band went through a rough period. They never disbanded, but they released there awesome comeback "Violent Revolution" in 2001 that brought them back to the front of Thrash. Their early stuff is very raw, with harsh vocals, meager production, and brutal as fuck! After that, they developed into a little more defined, melodic and sophisticated Kreator (though never leaving behind the "Fuck religion, fuck the gov't, and fuck you!" attitude. The frontman, Mille Petrozza, has quite odd vocals that you can't really compare to anyone else, some people find it off-putting, and took me a while to grow used to him. Their songs very in pace, and Kreator helped to define the tremolo picked 16th note riffs, and were a huge influence to early death metal.
Pleasure to Kill: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OGl0Plu_O4Q (very raw and brutal, title track off 2nd album)
Extreme Aggression: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=prmMdI97hvQ
Enemy of God: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dLJ8lxv97Fo

-LAMB OF GOD: Probably not pure thrash per se, more along the lines of groove/thrash/death metal(core). I have to mention these Americans here for the fact that they are one of the main catalysts for the thrash revival. Originally known as Burn the Priest, they released their debut in 1999 then changed the name to Lamb of God. Expect groovey riffs, melodic breaks, and hardcore-ish vocals from these guys.
Redneck: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i3fZd5qZje0
Laid to Rest: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fOWB6rmSd4I

-LAZARUS A.D.: these guys, are my absolute favourite new thrash band. Released their debut in 2007, these guys were a complete breath of fresh air. From USA, these thrashers don't simply try to replicate the old school thrash, but merely use it as a reference point when making their own thrash. The biggest notable influences here are probably Pantera, early Metallica, and early Megadeth. The bassist/vocalist looks like Dimebag too
Last Breath: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZEMN7cMIgNw
Thou Shall Not Fear: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=17dUpEP9e6A
Revolution: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XCL7O4uFvI0

-MEGADETH: Dave Mustaine. I shouldn't really need to say much more (and you should know who they are). Around since the 80's, releasing the debut in 1985, these fuckers can thrash. Nowadays, they're less thrash and more straight-up heavy metal.
Rattlehead: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mvlkw32qW8M
Peace Sells: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6KDO_yCYcuU
Take No Prisoners: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j9UeLylS_eA
Head Crusher: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YvbdVOUa5EE

-METAL CHURCH: These Americans were fucking GODS! Released their debut in 1984, broke up in 2009 from poor album sales, no band was ever more metal than these fuckers. They weren't hell-bent on total destruction, instead were more interested in creating catchy heavy/thrash metal songs and having a good time. Over the years their style was more or less the same: mid to mid-fast paced, vocals with a great range, catchy riffs, and lyrics about metal.
Start the Fire: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bOBPkrqoQZU
Mirror of Lies: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4pKc6wvLmXM
Date with Poverty: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d0okvjA0oaA

-METALLICA: fucking Metallica!! Even my grandmother knows who they are. Mention Metallica to some seasoned metalheads and you'll either get screams of 80's glory or instant screams of "Fuck Metallica!!" Love'em or hatem, they were a very huge influence to metal as a whole.
The Four Horsemen: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C4nCy5CITc8
For Whom the Bell Tolls:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bg92QpjRcJk
Battery: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m99ybtk4QNs
Cyanide: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xUMqqVOlJBs

all I have time for now. Next bands on my list: Municipal Waste, Sadus, Sepultura, Slayer, Sodom, Strapping Young Lad, Testament, Zimmer's Hole.

One of my favourite bands that have came out of the new wave of thrash would have to be Vektor. Amazing progressive thrash. Toxic Holocaust too, they wowed me with Conjure and Command.

I'm a supporter of the new wave of thrash metal. Some of my personal favorite "new" thrash bands are Municipal Waste, Vektor, Gama Bomb, Havok, Lich King, Cross Examination, Amok, and Violator.

Also if Ghoul counts then throw then on that list. I just got into them recently. Their latest album is awesome. Fueled By Fire is also alright, but I feel that like Evile, they're too derivative. They have potential though.

I'd go for Vektor, almost no doubt about it. Technical, progressive and yet classical and highly personal. Period.

But as I enjoy almost every form of thrash metal, I can mention Merciless Death aswell. I've been listening to them very much recently and they're just mind blowing. Great stuff.

And I strongly recommend you to listen to Swedish bands Antichrist and Immaculate. For old school lovers!

Evile

Well, I've seen this band live and spinning their new shit quite a few times I don't think they qualify to the bars of Mainstream Thrash scene. I don't( simply!) like this band at all, nothing new except the fact that they just crushing in from British Thrash scene lampooning Metallica's assets and gaining publicity grab from RS mag is not something they just cuts in. More to work on their stuff I suppose but still a great line up and have a tons of creativity them to channelized properly.

Please learn proper English, because what you just wrote is totally nonesensical. Just like most of your posts. Write proper English or die.

IMO, Birth AD is the best thrash metal band to come around in a long, long time. I could never get into the whole retro-thrash thing but these guys did something right.
