yeah and i'm curious what band they'll bring on to replace them. i hope it's gonna be some kickass old school band like WASP or something.

Yeah if it changes to WASP it will be another dream come ture! Dude I was just thinking the same!

There is a rumor that Amon Amarth and Iron Maiden are coming.... Amon Amarth was there last year , i hope we can see Maiden.

LOL i sometimes wonder who the fuck starts these kinda rumors, Maiden has concerts on 24th, 26th and 27th in Western Canada, so it will be impossible for them to make a concert appearance for Sonisphere and AA also has concerts on the 25th(rock am hartfeldsee), 26th(gods of metal), and 27th(graspop). so it's physically impossible for those two bands to play on Sonisphere Turkey/Romania.

LOL so this is a rumor! and impossible... So who will come? WASP? Motorhead? ...? Any possible rumor?

WASP is free during those 3 days, so that's why i thought of them. i'm not really sure which band they'll pull out but i hope it's gonna be a kickass one.

I can not believe it ! Dio passed away! It was going to be the first time i was going to see this metal Icon on the stage ..but seems i didnot deserve it .. RIP Ronnie we will always be grateful ..You have given us metal music !

Tickets are a little expensive for me !!! :|

After Dio went to somewhere btw heaven and hell (and before he dies we knew that he cant come), we have a grate problem in this Sonisphere, they dont have a good Headliner to replace. the last news is that they are trying to replace it with Alice Cooper, but it seems a little weird, because Manowar has more fans and they are grater than Alice Cooper (this is what all ppl talk about). I wish if they could bring Motörhead. The second problem is that maybe Mastodon wont come to this festival too .... and there is empty place too, someone help these managers

And now Anathema and Orphaned land are joining for this festival, the last thing which I knew about the headliner of the second day was that the band's name will start with "A" letter. And everybody thought that its Alice Cooper, now the A letter is Anathema (they have to add another band too, because we need 3 bands to complete the list so maybe there is another A !). Anathema were in Istanbul, Ankara and Izmir (all 3 concerts were full of empty places) recently and its a little bad news for ppl who paid for those concerts. anyway its very hilarious to see anathema over Manowar and if it happens ...

maybe its fun for you but ppl over here has been to anathema concerts every year, 6 or 7 times. its enough! now they are headliners its as a JOKE.

http://tr.sonispherefestivals.com/bilgi/program/ , there is just one stage and as you see nothing is clear yet, because there is no announcement at Sonisphere's site. but look at here http://www.last.fm/festival/1328905+Sonisphere+Festival+2010 and here http://www.biletix.com/static.htm?page=sp47. second day will be really empty this way beacuse ppl have seen anathema enough and the second problem is that there are just 5 groups ın the second day. ppl are really angry, Anathema as a headliber? really really? Manowar is less than Anathema? or Anathema is compareable to Dio? organisation sucks if it happens this is the truth.

Indeed. First I read the following on Anathema's website:
"Anathema have just confirmed that they will be playing the second stage at Sonisphere Istanbul on Saturday June 26th"

But on their tour page it says they're headliners. I'm curious to see what Joey DeMaio thinks about this.

Anyway, this was the worst decision ever, first they talked about Motörhead, Alice Cooper, AC/DC and some others then after they sold tickets as well now they decided to bring Anathema and its absolutely hilarious. everyone who wanted to see them this year have seen them at the ex mouth, I think organization couldnt make Manowar as a headliner (because of contracts or what) and they had to bring a big band, and the big band was Anathema. yes we know Anathema is a good band but even Rammstein cant be a headliner when Manowar is there man! first day Rammstein, second day Anathema and the third day Metallica. who wants to see the second day? I think no one will spend 135 ? for second day's daily front stage tickets or even 100 ? VIP tickets, so ppl who has bought combine tickets will be there (or ppl who bought tickets for heaven and hell), or ppl who loves Manowar! no one comes for Anathema and everyone wants to make a protest in concert, its not just Joey DeMaio, its all of us who want to say something!

HOLY SHIT... i looked at the billing right now and i must say, Joey must be VERY FUCKING PISSED with this outcome. at least if it was some remotely "heavy" band like Rammstein, but no, an atmospheric metal group.

Now i have got Everything confirmed!!!!!!!!!! I will be there for sure!

i'm happy for you, i know how it's like to dream about a concert of your favorite band and all of a sudden you see a show confirmed (Priest in 2008) right in my hometown.

a question though, i see there are many people coming from Iran, and i know it's not the richest country in the world, are you all gonna take a train to Istanbul?

VERY IMPORTANT to all of foreigners

make sure that your credit card is with you if you have bought the tickets from biletix.com , because they wont give a ticket without seeing the Physical Credit card and the owner must Sign a paper, stead of it you cant have the tickets.

Edit: I think there is just one another choice for you, ask biletix.com but I know this works for foreigners:(if the credit card is not yours and the owner wont be with you) Fax your credit cards copy (front and back, readable) and the signature of the owner of credit. this is just what I can recommend but plz ask biletix first.
