I'm surprised Hangar 18 and Trust aren't on this list, but I guess that's why the other rating is so high. Holy Wars gets my vote though.

For me I have always liked Symphony of destruction since I heard it on Flatout 2. My Favorite Megadeth song though has to be Good Mourning/ Black Friday. Good Mourning is an awesome intro to Black Friday and the speed, heaviness and subject matter of the sung always gets me headbangin.

Hanger 18 is by far my favorite. the main riff is not super intricate, but has a great effect on the listener. some of Mustaine's best work as a songwriter also.

There are so many. Looking Down the Cross, Peace Sells, Hangar 18, Five Magics, In My Darkest Hour, etc.

I dont know if I can choose... even choosing one song from each album would be difficult for me. Though its nice to see some mentions for "A Secret Place". That is definitely one of my fave Megadeth songs.

Probably the best from Cryptic Writings, along with "She-Wolf" and "Vortex".

That song certainly is a strong contender for my fave Megadeth song! \m/ Its far heavier than anything on "Countdown To Extinction", my guess is it was originally written for "Rust In Peace", but somehow was left off it...
@Vezzy: Yep, those 3 are probably the best from Cryptic Writings. lol Although I love a few other songs from that album...

Take No Prisoners brought me into Megadeth. It is a really heavy speed-metal song. Since TNP isnt in the pool I go with Peace Sells.

I don't know which is the best, but Symphony of Destruction is certainly the catchiest.

Tough choice, but I think that Black Friday would win. Great inro, some of Megadeth's best riffs, great solo... Generic compliments I know; I'm not the best at describing. Black Friday wins for sure.
