Coldplay are love it or hate it band , it can either sound very inspirational and emotional, or an utterly boring musical act

ColdPlay - X&Y ... I have always loved Coldplay and everything about them
they write great music and top-notch lyrics and even Viva La Vida did not disappoint
there are some more probably Eminem and The Cranberries

Agreed. I don't understand all the hate Coldplay gets. X&Y is a good album I used to listen to a long time ago especially "Clocks."
Yeah, Viva La Vida didn't disappoint but it was weaker than their older stuff.

I don't actually care for those who hate Coldplay just because they are mainstream
and yes Viva la Vida was weaker but still has some great songs in it

Great album, but I don't see how you could call it non-metal. Sure, it has some neofolk influences and such, but it's pretty clean metal nonetheless.

The album 8 by Orom is all dark ambient with no metal to be found, so does it count? If so, 8 would be my favorite non-metal album.

The LOTRO scores are composed by Howard Shore (if I remember correctly). Enya just sings on one end credits track, she doesn't have anything else to do with them. (So does Emiliana Torrini, btw. She's cool.)

its a tough tie between limp bizkit - chocolate starfish and nickelback - the state

Oliver Hart - How Eye One The Write To Think
Theres a few jazz fusion albums I really like, but none of them really make the favorite list atm.

A really tough decision to make, but my favourite would probably be either 'Crime of the Century' by Supertramp or 'Scheherazade and Other Stories' by Renaissance. Couldn't possibly choose which.

^^ Two very nice albums, the later being unfairly ignored by many.

What first comes to my mind are Pind Floyd's WYWH or Mahavishnu Orchestra's Birds Of Fire. But while I'm writing so many names pop up, King Crimson, Yes, Anglagard, Miles Davis... it's almost impossible to pick one.

The black Abyss by Skylarque. Pure goodness. Really hunting atmosphere. I'll let you discover thy music style. To quote my IT guy: "Just fucking Google it!"
