Yeah, so do I. IMO Kalmah is one of the best Melodic Death Metal bands.

This album got a really weird title and the song names are quite bad somehow, like "One Of Fail" wtf does that means?

It is annoying it think.
The first three kalmah albums were sort of distant and more sublime. From Black Waltz they've become more upto date about what they mention in the songs and cause of this the music has had to change to make everything seem more gritty and rrrr.. Even though songs like Groan of Wind are among some of my favourite by the band..its about a strain of flu. A certain amount of feel has gone, and I can't help but remember how Bodom went crap after they left the strangeness of Something Wild and Hatebreeder and crossed into swearwords during breakdowns.
12 Gauge as the third album of the 'new' Kalmah, so it'll be interesting to see if they maybe get nostalgic and do stuff the old fashioned way. *fingers, toes and eyes crossed*

Absolutely Kalmah will once again be a great band when they'll go back to songs like Hades. Hades... THAT was great Kalmah!

I'm personally fine with Black Waltz Kalmah as well as older, more swampy Kalmah, but their last album however was far too uninspired. For whatever reason the title '12 gauge' makes me expect a little more teenage angst appeal... hopefully it's more crazy fish-man in a swamp, 'get off my porch!' angst.

Good album, some masterpieces. but the solos arent so good. they sound quite much like Slayer´s solos. Dont get me wrong, slayer is a great band but the their solos is so disharmonic and that doesnt fit in to kalmah´s music. Antti Kokko is a great guitarist but i like the older solos more.

Agree with the above post...its a good album but the solos are pretty darn ugly. Yet I do enjoy the album a lot more than their previous 2 efforts and more than "They Will Return" as well - overall Im pleasantly surprised.

Yepp, I have listen to the album for some time now and it's really damn good. I think it's even better then FTR witch I like also. Songs like "One Of Fail", "Bullets Are Blind" and "12 Gauge" are classic Kalmah songs!

Kalmah is one of melodic death metal's strongest outfits, and this is currently at the top of the MS charts, and no reviews? WTF?
