since a short while i have found a liking for brutal deathmetal, preferably with very fast drumming,
till now i have heard: Deicide, Kataklysm, Nile, Krisiun, Cryptopsy and Mithras, and i like all of them alot,
Well new Devourment is out. Sounds like brutal death metal so all the slamheads will probably be disappointed by the lack of slam that was ever present on their last releases. Or it could just be that the vastly cleaner production is making the slams lose their impact.

Thanks for posting this video bro......pretty sick!
I have never really separated brutal death metal from normal death metal for some reason, but now that i look at it the difference is right in my fucking face.
I liked devourment when they were more "slammy" in that respect, though i've been that crazy about the music to begin with, there was always a handful of songs that I worshipped from them. though to be fair, im still digesting the new album - its pretty brutal thats for sure.
i think my favorite bdm album this year so far is guttural secrete - nourishing the spoil. i always loved the intro to 'reek of pubescent despoilment' and i was quite satisfied with this one as well.
