I loved watching and listening to this live performance - it's marillion's debut album played in its entirety plus the famous Grendel epic and Market Square Heroes from their 1982 EP. Marillion may not have been a really original in early 80s, being obviously influenced by 70s Genesis for instance. But as most of 70s band dropped their progressive sound and started playing pop music or AOR, I think it takes a lot of courage to go against the times and make progressive rock in the British music scene flooded with new wave and synth pop at the time. Marillion risked a lot and brought a little bit of prog back.
