Where can I hera this band and how thay sounds, simmilar like Arch Anemy?

No, NOT like Arch Enemy because Acrostichon plays DEATH metal. And Arch Enemy only have some very slight death metal influences.

No, NOT like Arch Enemy because Acrostichon plays DEATH metal. And Arch Enemy only have some very slight death metal influences.

I think Epica are the best because they are like one of my fave bands and simone has such a pretty voice

And I vote for Within Temptation.
Besides we all know her voice is just awesome, I had the oportunity to saw them live and she didnt miss a single note, singing diffucult songs like "Angels" or "Memories"

Like others, I'm surprised to see the Gathering's omission. I so I choose them, regarding their old stuff. The singer that they had on Always is better than Anneke, IMO. I love the gothic/doom vibes from that album and the coupling of male and female vocals sounds rather thoughtful. The guitars are excellently atmospheric too.

I can't choose between Epica and After Forever..but I like Simone Simmons vioce better, so...Epica it is.

The Gathering. I wold choose them even in wider pool, not just Dutch.

Although Within Temptation has become pretty mainstraim and a little to commercial to my likening....i would choose for them because they were the first female metal fronted band that really took my attention. Their first albums are the best. You really have to hear "Enter" and "Mother Earth". Real masterpieces! Also they are live good.

After Forever is nice but has become a bit thin through the years in their music in my humble opinion.
Epica has some nice songs but are not special....just "one of those bands".

I prefer After Forever most from above mentioned bands. Their music sounds better, especially the last album is very good. Also the female vocal is great and pure (like it must be )...

Epica you have my vote I've seen you live 1 time and in november is the 2th time!

AFTER FOREVER!!

It's a tough choice between them and Epica because I love the music of both bands. In the end it comes to the front woman and Floor owns every female singer in the planet in that catagory.

My vote goes to Epica. They are probably the only Gothic/Female fronted band I like.

WT by far.

And I'd say that Epica is much more symphonic than gothic metal.

btw: I think the term "female fronted" sucks, it says the female singer is more important than the band. just like it is in the pop industry
a lot of these gothic rock bands sure do look like any other band involved by the pop industry

If Mark were still in After Forever, I'd vote them.. Kidding, I vote Epica for more than just that reason.. Simone is outstanding

My vote is for Epica, they are an amazing band, Simone Simons is amazing.

I also voted for Epica. Within Temptation was great some years ago, but nowadays they are only average.

I'm not actually very familiar with Dutch metal, but I'll go with Epica/Sinister as a tie.

When this topic page was loading I was wondering that Gathering would be the leading band in the poll. But anyone even didn't talk about them. Anyway I like Anneke Van Giersbergen's vocals, and I'd pick her for my top female vocalists, not only in the Netherlands, but worldwide! So I'd say Gathering (Van Giersbergen era), no idea about the new vocalist..

From those choices, Epica has my vote... although After Forever is amazing also. It's a shame that they disbanded
