Oooh nice implementation...bit conceited, but I guess everyone on this site is somewhat arrogant
It's not like it's posted on the front page or anything, it's on your profile page, which should be about you anyways. Besides, there are a few users whom I'm interested in seeing some lists from. Dangerboner has a few good ones.
lol I know dude i was just messing, its a cool feature Im wracking my brains over here for my first list

Added a new way to create a list - group and select albums in your Collection, then click 'Create a list' below. This way you can easily filter your Collection by year, style or band and create a list with a lot less effort.

Just as a matter of curiosity, is anyone here actually bothering to check on those lists? The idea is great but since the place is so glutted with them (including some really inane ones like best Metallica/Opeth/Dragonforce albums; what are the ratings for), couldn't you limit the amount of published lists in some way? For instance everybody only gets one list in a fixed amount of time as per month (maybe from now on, no need to actually delete a list), except for staff and elite.

Yeah, that sounds like a good idea!

I dont think so...i personally understand "top lists" as another form of album rating...and would you like to have number of your album votes limited monthly?
this is only about people being reasonable

There is a difference, at least for me. Rating an album is something personal, publishing a list is not.

So? Why compile a list, if you do not care for other people to read it? On the other hand you do not rate an album to any one's benefit but your own (at least you shouldn't, people who do are usually petty down- and up-voters). I can't believe people going through profiles just to look up their ratings as they are not explained or in any way informative but a list can provide just that (if done properly).

In your "top list" would probably be albums you gave high personal rating...

The problem is just that there are way too many lists, I think it's not the goal to have some thousand lists here and no one cares for them because there are too many

OK, since the Lists are a semi-public feature, in the interests of keeping the quality standards above the absolute zero, I added a new limitation that only allows you to post one list per week. Sorry.
That should give you a whole week to really think your next list through, though

Haha nice trick - but nothing will stop the chaotic lists & eventually they''ll cram lots of pages! Fortunately they're shown at the profiles & this is nice. Something like a personal agenda. After a long time only from the profiles these lists will be usefull (for others to see)
Great, user friendly ideas...wonder what else lies ahead

Something that will blow your socks right off. Might still have to wait a month or two for this one though.

There was a nomination thread. I'm sure that the 2010 awards will start by the end of January,
EDIT: And to prove that, here's what I found:

The awards ALWAYS start Feb 1. not sure what the MSAs have to do with lists, unless someone is trying to create a list of their favorite MSAs.
