Does anybody know any nice acoustic songs like John Butler's Ocean or Antoine Dufour's Chasing the light? I'd prefer a degree of complexity abd technicality.

hell yeah, BG knows how to write some great acoustic stuff. actually almost all the BG songs are simply awesome when i caught them in concert they even played Skalds and Shadows, which i didn't know back then.

as for other great acoustic songs, most of them aren't entirely with acoustic guitars and shit but they are pretty damn good nonetheless:

Abigor - Medieval Echoes(it's great even though it's only one minute long)

WASP - The Idol

Ensiferum - Tears

Demons and Wizards - Fiddler on the Green

EDIT oh yeah i forgot a great acoustic song with just guitar and flute, UFO - Arbory Hill. it's 1 minute long but really great and atmospheric.

Fiddler On The Green acoustic? i have strong feeling, that harsh guitars began to play in second half of the song...or am i wrong?

An interesting fact about that song, is that it could have ended up on Megadeth's "Rust In Peace" lol Before Dave recruited Marty, he asked Jeff to join, and told him he would put "Crystal Ann" on the album if he accepted. Of course, Jeff turned the offer down, and it never happened.

I didnt forget either of them. Both songs prominently feature electric guitar later on. My list would have been a lot bigger, if Id included those types of songs!
