This is one of the top Funeral Doom albums ever. If you're any kind of doomer this is something you need to hear and fast. Or should I say, slow?

It's amazing to see how much of modern funeral doom is still just basically this album. 19 years later. Damn.

Hoowee mama this is a steaming pile of dog shit. One guitar note every 30 seconds and some guy vomiting on a microphone. Literally nothing happens for 55 minutes. Okay, maybe I'm being dramatic. but this is so abysmally empty that it's almost an endurance challenge to get through.

Given your rating, I'd say I'll enjoy this a lot

That I don't know, I do enjoy quite a few other Funeral Doom acts (Skepticism, Ahab, Bell Witch, Lycus etc etc.), but there is seriously nothing going on here. I usually can understand why people like albums when I personally do not, but this one is mind blowing to me.

You don't have to say anything else, I'm already sold on it

This is a true classic funeral doom album. Nothing more, nothing less.

Not to beat a dead horse, but I re listened to this this morning, (Honestly, I thought there's no way I could be that far off from everyone else) and it's not as bad as my original comment may lead on. The first track is very solid, but it loses a lot of steam after that, especially when followed by the (IMO) abysmal second track. There are some great riffs and some great overall moments, but they are few and far between. The change in production on the last track isn't good either. I still don't think this is even in the realm of albums like "The Call Of The Wretched Seas" or "...Shades Of" but it's definitely not horrible in the sense of a "3" like I had originally gave it.
Keep in mind, I am battling with a head injury
