Wow guys, "thanks" for spamming this thread until it reached a new page, i'm actually looking for valuable information and not wasting server storage space. if i see another post here like that i'm reporting it.

so now i'm gonna repost my message, maybe someone will see it on this new page and have relevant information for my situation :

So i'm going to finally materialize my dreams of moving to Sweden this next summer. Stockholm, more specifically, as it looks as if i can almost get guaranteed a job in my current field (customer service with language skills, will have 2 years experience and great references by then) if i perfect my Swedish (i already know 4 other languages at fluency so i'm fairly confident i can do it).

my question for you guys is, i heard that summer is pretty much hibernation time for the Swedes, and they only return to work en masse in mid-august (including, most importantly, the people who manage job applications). thus, would it be any use to arrive there in early june and try to get a job then? or should i just spend my time then visiting and finding contacts for jobs/appartments to use in august?

I'm not sure about all companies, but I know summer is quite dull with the one I'm working with here in Sweden. Pretty much everybody is on vacation.

Pretty much everyone is on vacation between weeks 28 to 33

I think most people does, or just the ones of us that prefers the weekend

Well, I started an account for maybe 3-4 years ago, when I still had a feet outside metal, but was leaning more and more towards metal. Don't remember at all why I was attracted by this site, maybe just liked the look on it?
Then I stopped visiting this site, cuz it didn't felt like my place back then. Just came back here a week ago or something, when I also found the forum(where I just happen to be right now). So in total I've been active in... maybe a month? And I can say that much have happened in these years
If you ask me something, I must warn you that I will be moving in a day or two now, and won't be able to be online for a month or so. But after that I'll be back for sure
Maybe we can find interesting subjects to talk about then

To Härnösand. Maybe not the best metaltown, or just town in common, but there I got most of my friends... a funny unofficial slogan of the town is "Staden som är bakom flötet" Been there?

I moved from my homecountry Chile to Norrköping and lived there for around 4 years and then moved way south to Helsingborg which is where I've been ever since which adds to 7 years here in Sweden in total. Hence the wordplay Skandino (Skandinavien and Latino) I have under my username hehehe. I remember someone in this forum (I believe it was Ragana) thought it would be a cool title for me and I must agree. I feel just as home here as in my homecountry... I'm right in the middle of both cultures considering how I agree with one or the other depending on the subject hahaha.

That is some miles to go if one want to visit the other homeland I bet it is pretty different in cultures between them?
From where you live now, can you see the dannish city Helsingør? It's pretty close to Malmö, isn't it? Haven't been there, just close to it when traveling to Uddevalla and Denmark. Is it a nice city/town?
How's the metalscene in Chile? Is there a bunch of bands in every place, or is it a rare phenomenom? Just wondering, since I haven't heard of a band being from there.
Got any clue why we just speaks english here, even though this topic is titled "Swedish Metalstormers!"?

While what you are saying is true... it hardly says anything about the real number of atheists in Sweden because as far as I remember most people get there automatically and never bother to get off it. I don't think the numer would be 85%... But I'll bet it's at the very least 50%

A real atheist makes sure he/she isn't registered as part of some church.

i do agree that of the 69% of the people registered to the church of Sweden many don't believe at all and just can't be bothered to get themselves removed. But those people aren't atheists, just non-believers.

its medieval Europe city standart what was addopted because , from no metter where you come from, when you go you need to see city and church and church tower was probobly higest place in town or villadge
