2 out of the new 5 songs have Ranta's cleans and only on the chorus,,, i don't find that so much specially with such heavy new ones like C.U.S. i wonder what it stands for?! hope it is not something silly like YDKS on solution 7

The new EP was pretty bland. Yet again, the lyrics were just bad and the music was very average. Hope the album is better.

Yeah, I liked what I heard, nothing that great though. It's good to hear that they're breaking away from that Children of Bodom knockoff band sound.

I'd like to congratulate Norther for their new release which has entered the #1 position on the finnish charts! I haven't heard it yet though, seems that it hasn't yet come here to Sweden.

i'm really liking where are they going with their sound,,, C.U.S is a really good song!! (mind the lyrics )

damit my city sucks i have to order cd's but hey i rather order them then download
their new stuff rules, love it when bands sound new for their new albums

Yeah man wtf is up with that? I hate it when bands have stupid "my dick is bigger than your dick" lyrics its so fuckin highschool....theyre starting to overtake COB when it comes to meaningless bullshit lyrics.

ive just heard 1 of there songs, they sound really good, but still not sure if i wanna get one of there albums. not to metion i dont even have the money to get the god dethroned and kreator albums i do want

Well it's the same with YDKS and Fukk You also, some people think Fukk You is juvenile and stupid whereas myself I think it's a very powerful song indeed and YDKS is a total spanker of a song it rules so much and means so much to me, as I have been looked at many times in this way by people who think they are so much more and better.

Well fair enough with the whole way people look at you etc...I for one dont really give a rat's ass what people think of me or how they look at me and what I think of them is probably much worse than what they think of me anyway lol I just have a problem with those kinds of lyrics because, as you said, some people (like myself) find it very juvenile and to be quite honest - it sound like Slipknot.

Norther have never been awesome lyricists but I remember times when they could bring their point accross without trying to sound all "tough" or whatever.

Their lyrics is almost the best thing related to them .. ppl you are highlighting the wrong/bad ones .. but in the other side still the band have really deep & emotional good lyrics..

The music sounds straight to my ears, when I play an album I just forget while working on the pc or driving that I am lsning metal ..

FUKIN NORTHER RUUUUUULESSSSS, its just a mind blowing band!!!!! When I hear Till Death Unites Us I just go INSANE!!!! forget everything and shake my head like a maniac!!!!! their lyrics means SO FUKIN MUCH and their music is damn great!!!!! NOT EVER I would compare them with CHILDREN, both are in the circle of great finish bands, which by the way doesn´t includes HIM or the patetic garbage of RASMUS , anyway NORTHER and COB will last FOREVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:banger2:

Indeed great band ... I have all their stuff and there's no doubt that this is one of the best death melodic metal from Finland.
No band can be as technical and as fast playing those tunes and riff like these motherfuckers do... Those guitar solos besides those keyboards solos aswell can refer what I just said... Great Band ... My favorite ...I must say.

I did not like that much their new Ep ... No way Back ...
Their fist track ''Frozen angel'' is very well done ... I mean , great stuff... but the rest of the tracks are not that cool ya know... specially No Way Back ...

Am I the only one having a hard time calling Norther Extreme Power Metal nowadays? Their latest album is just not Power Metal if you ask me, what about Modern Extreme Metal or something like that? I know, it's a kinda fuzzy style but I think it fits kinda good.

The following update was posted yesturday on Nother's official website:

"We arrived to Astia Studio late in the evening. You can check out more information about the studio here. Astia Studio is located in Lappeenranta, Finland. Anssi (the studio master and our producer) has again brought something new to the studio. The whole second floor has been totally redesigned.

Check out the pictures here. There are also some pictures of Heikkis drum setup.

Tomorrow we will do still some pre-production and go to sauna, perkele!!!"

that is great news!!! can't wait to hear what these guys are gonna produce next!!

I really have high expectations for the new album since these guys have just done great stuff!

It's a shame I missed their performance on Wacken, because I'd really like to see them, but they clashed with Destruction, so I went to see Destruction, because I like them a bit more. I must say Norther is a really great band. They have released some really good albums, and I'm really looking forward to their new release, but in the meantime we still have "No Way Back".

I just started getting into Norther. I find "'Till Death Unites Us" pretty good and "Death Unlimited" reeealy terrific. They seem very complex without sounding too busy. I like the whole atmosphere the band creates (i'm sure the keyboard-guy has something to do with it). I'll try to get more albums...

I worship Planman's skills, so great! Too bad that he just looks so boring... yeah, I'm shallow...

lol yeah he looks so gloomy like a dark cloud is over his head all the time!! but the rest if the band is so energetic and cool tough,,, so it balances out i guess

Norther have finished recording their new album at Astia Studios with producer Anssi Kippo. The band writes on its web site:

"We are really damn happy with the results. We are now in Studio Fredman in Hyssna, Sweden to do the final mixing. We'll enjoy Sweden this week with Mr. Fredrik Nordström (Arch Enemy, Dark Tranquillity, In Flames, Soilwork, Opeth)."

i like a lot norther but they are not original, its almost children of bodom. but i like a lot first cds

good band, very good band, but, they sound too much like COB and other bands, so yeh, they get a bit much sometimes

I have listened all Norther albums again, and for me, they're way better than Children Of Bodom. Saying that Norther is a copy of Children Of Bodom is an absolutely stupidity imo.

Oh man, the more i listen to them the better they get.

I just found out that "Dreams of Endless War" was their debut album! Wow. I'ts their best in my opinion. It's so complex, it sounds really mature, especially for a debut album. Much better than "Mirror of Madness" in my opinion.

Their new album didn't disappoint me, it's not as good as the first 3 albums, but it's far way better than Till Death

Man 'N' fukking kicks so much ass, it's thier best cd since Death Unlimited I think. So many powerful songs and Heikki's drumming is fukking amazing as well as Tuomas again pulling out something huge to. This album gonna be getting some serious listening to over the next few days eh.

i thought that CD didn't come out until february? or did you download it?
