@harbinger - actually Kride sings in 4 songs on N, and they are Frozen Angel, To Hell, We Rock and If You Go.

@Dr.Rock - so then you shouldn't listen to any Norther cd after Death Unlimited, cause all the ones from Solution 7 onwards have Kride singing clean vocals on them.

lol, i was close. honestly...i can't say i've ever liked one album of their's. "N" isn't that great, but it has some decent songs on it. i probably won't listen to it past the next few weeks though. but frozen angel is one track i have to skip every time. i like clean vocals (sometimes) but he sounds terrible when he sings in lower octaves.

I think me and you are both on the same page....I'll probably end up buying it eventually, but I can't see it becoming anything all that great to me....maybe I should wait for a Norther compilation, seeing as I'm not a big fan but I like select songs.

well, with their track record i wouldn't be surprised to see a compilation/best-of with all the tracks i dislike.

norther are pretty good, although their lyrics are pretty lame and their songs tend to sound the same.. also, their lead guitarist has great moments sometimes, but when he's not shredding, sometimes it comes out sounding really basic and unexperienced

I was just asking. I do realize that you said you liked them, but I don't usually find people saying they like bands that are "unexperienced." Oh well, chill, I guess I'm just obsessed by cruelty.

It does more than TDUU though.. I dunno, it's actually pretty enjoyable, but the first three are still SO much better.

I quite like Norther.

Although I only have their first album , & a few tracks from others.

They aren't the greatest or most mind blowing band I have heard, But they still deserve some recognition.

They can write quality songs and they have a certain feel about them.

Probably because people tend to think Kride as a great guitar player, and Pete is not that bad either. But I guess you have some sort of point, because sometimes the solos are pretty boring and happens to be there only because "there has to be a solo in every song".

yeah like i said he has spontaneous bits of shred that show that he has skill but usually it's dull and makes the mind stray away from the music

nah, it still sucks it apears Norther suffers from the CoB syndrome, first 3 albums good the rest suck.

Well, as I like Children Of Bodom, I like Norther too (wow, that was a surprise), but not that much. Although "Till Death Unites Us" was quite good, I think that Norther really suffers from the CoB syndrome, like Tír na nog said.

lol, either way i still think they're the "pretty boys" of metal. look at them. the guy on the far left in that pic probably took two hours to do his hair.

by the way, the one in the very back (that seems to stand the tallest) needs to eat something. seriously.
