This is sooo hard to choose.
All of their albums are awesome.
I vote for The Sound Of Perseverance, it was the first Death album I listened, and I'm connected with it in some way.

Symbolic is my first choose. The second would be The Sound Of Perseverance followed by Human.

//i dont get why there are as many votes for Scream Bloody Gore as there are Human. Those two albums were both during their strictly death metal era with a more progressive death metal sound coming later in Symbolic but i find Human way more advance that Scream Bloody Gore. It just sounds more pure or something. Maybe i cant explain it very well or something//

to me its Human, the album had a great line up and the live line up was also amazing, I think in those years they were at the top of their career. The songs are incredible, the lyrics are great, its a very dynamic album

However, my favourite songs are in Spiritual Healing, an album that I never understood why it so underrated everywhere.

Same here. I was listening to Spiritual Healing today, and it's a great album. This actually maybe the album that started Death's progressive era. Anyways, it's a very solid DM album.

Well my fav is The Sound of Perseverance... I've always been a fanatic of Technique... and yeah i think that they proven they could be Hella technical on that album. First.. when i listen to it i don't skip a single song.. i like em all... from Scavenger to Moment.. lol and also.. theres songs i can'T stop listening to in it... like Spirit Crusher, Scavenger of human sorrow and obviously Flesh and the power it holds, they're catchy. So basically thats why i like this album.

I think I have to choose Symbolic...really a great album...but, it is a very hard decision, since their discografy is very solid, there's no weak point guys.

Yeah its true.. they never done something bad wich is awesome...
I love the fact that.. (not like other bands) they made better and better work with every album... its crazy most of the bands just do few good albums.. and then.. it sucks (Metallica) lol.

Strange that so many people prefer The OSund Of Perseverence. This is the album where Chuck truly sounds like Donald Duck (so like Dani Filth brother), now if he had someone else do the vocals there it would have been a much better album.

It's not strange... It's because people like his vocals. I really liked Chuck's voice on that album, really haunting stuff.
But I wouldn't compare him to someone who lost his voice age ago like Dani and only did three good performances.
Tastes differ my friend... I know I'm the shit but that doesn't mean that others tastes are wrong.

I don't know, this is a hard one. As studio album I prefer Symbolic, but as live album, I really digged the song choices for Live In L.A.
Blah, I'll come back to this thread later.

For me his vocals on this album were strange at first. I thought it's Janis Joplin on the vocals.. But I voted for Sounds of Perseverance too, I don't care about his vocals on this album because songs are greatly composed and written in my opinion. And I liked this style on Death more than previous albums'.

Scream Bloody Gore is where it's at. The rest is also very good, but SBG is fucking godly. It's the spirit of old school death metal brought to life (undeath?).
