I know the band went through some tough times but the last few releases have been subpar. I am not asking for a return to the mighty Nothingface, Angel Rat, Outer Limits era or anything but...but...ahhh, fuck yea I am!!!

They once again proved that when they played Dimension Hätröss in its entirey at the last Roadburn. They totally kicked the set they played the before's ass.

The Puter Limits is almost pure Pink Floyd rip off. Might as well listen to Pink Floyd instead of a wannabee band  Their early work was interesting and had bite both those things are totally lacking in the rest of their catalogue.

I do like their early straight up thrash era but when they "cross-overed" is when I became a HUGE fan - a top 5 band of all time for me. Progressive metal was my genre of choice in the late 80's and early 90's so what Voivod was doing then was fantastic.

Dan Mograine does much more than simply embody Piggy's unique style; he takes it a technical step further and completely reinvigorates the band. Mix in Blacky's return and you have their their best record in ages, standing right up there with the likes of Killing Tech, Hatross, and Nothingface. Sorry to gush, but I'm a fan that spans decades and I'm stoked. Welcome back, Voivod!
