Vengeance - Guitarist Dead At 46
Jan Somers - original guitarist of long-running Dutch traditional metal band Vengeance - passed away yesterday afternoon (Friday January 28th). The 46-year-old hard-rocker suffered a fatal heart attack at his home in Mierlo, The Netherlands.
The surviving members released the following message: "We deeply regret the suddenly passing away from our dearly beloved band member and personal friend Jan Somers. Jan was one of the bandmembers from the FIRST hour of the band Vengeance. We wish his family, friends and fans the strength to rock on. The family's request is to give them peace and quitness for the next two days."

I don't know what kind of lifestyle he had. Perhaps it's simply a matter of bad luck. But a heart attack at 46 could also be the consequence of having used lots of drugs in his life. 46 is not extremely young but it's not old either. I mean, it's young for a heart attack (though it can happen at any age). My condolences to his family and friends.
