"War of the Gods", a brand-new track from Swedish melodeath warriors Amon Amarth, has been made available for streaming below, or over at SurturRising.com.
"War of the Gods" comes off the band's upcoming new album Surtur Rising, which will be released in Germany, Austria and Switzerland on March 25th, in the rest of Europe on March 28th, and in North America on March 29th through Metal Blade Records.

I've been listening to a bit of Amon Amarth recently, which is unlike me. I can't say this song was refreshing, it might as well have been on one of their last albums - it sounds just the same.

Yup, indeed it sounds very typical AA. it failed to impress me too much, so i hope there are more interesting songs on the new album. they did it with Hermod's Ride to Hel or Live for the Kill, so it won't be too difficult to churn up some really great stuff.
