My friend made this Chtulhu hat, the tentacles come down over his face. It's pretty epic...haha

Ever notice on a lot of "recommendation" forums, that people will suggest like 3-4 pages worth of bands and insight, but the original poster never seems to follow up

I just use them to find out new bands I haven't heard myself...maybe that's the point.

Master are excellent, indeed. On The Seventh Day... is a classic.

Gorguts, grave, immolation, death, suffocation, jumpin jesus, morgue, ressurection, revenant, demigod, deicide, morbid angel, pestilence, wombbath... and this is just off the top of my head

Great Finnish slow-paced DM. They also got a new album out this year, have to check for sure. This song is from their 2010 album "Arches of Enthropy".

Nobody recommended Possessed? Seven Churches is a classic death metal album. Also, Massacre, their debut album line up consisted of three ex-members of Death (Butler, Rozz, Andrews).

Morbid Visions only some slight dm elements but only very very very slight and Dark Angel not a single dm element t it at all.

Morbid Visions only some slight dm elements but only very very very slight and Dark Angel not a single dm element t it at all.

I know Dark Angel is a thrash band, but Darkness Descends does have some of that old school death metal in it. It sounds a little like Seven Churches by Possessed. Sure its not a Cannibal Corpse or Deicide album, but during the early 80s that was as close to death metal as you pretty much got. Same with Morbid Visions.
