It happens when you least expect it. You're just going about your normal business when suddenly an unwelcome and unwanted song forces its way into your mind and you can't make it go away. It happened to me this morning and it made me wonder what random irritating songs popped into other people's heads.

This morning: Juice Newton - Angel Of The Morning. I have no idea why. Maybe I was overexposed to it as a child when it was on the radio everywhere.

Others include:

The Bee Gees - Stayin' Alive. (Definitely overexposed to this as a young child in the late '70s. Once it was stuck in my head for two weeks.)

John Sebastian - Welcome Back (from "Welcome Back Kotter")

Gary Numan - Cars

Elton John - Goodbye Yellow Brick Road

And most annoying of all: that Christmas song "Up On The Rooftop." Especially the chorus "Ho ho ho, who wouldn't go..." etc.

So what songs pop into your head and drive you crazy?

None really... I don't think any song can really be catchy to me unless I actually like it. lol

Goodbye Yellow Brick Road irritating? Of course it can be, but it's quite a cool song in my opinion.

Pink's songs I can agree.

Actually, Goodbye Yellow Brick Road is a good album, but the song became irritating because it was looped endlessly in my head for the better part of a week. I actually used to like Cars as well...until it stuck in my head for too long. lol

This is the one that recurs most often...and it has since since I was 5 years old.

I have a lot of problems with this xD many pop stuff from Balkans, but the latest most annoying song I can't stop singing is damn Pitbull feat. whoknowswhonot - Give me everything tonight >.< it somehow manages to be everywhere I go, enough already! xD

The most irritanting songs for me are some country music from my country, and at my job they keep the radio turned on at country-music stations... All day long
It really drives me mad and the worst thing is that it sticks to your mind, I cannot get rid of it.

Definitely deserves to be posted here...

I have to post another one since it is the song that was responsible for this thread. I was overexposed to it as kid...it's cheesy, it sucks and I hate it beyond my ability to convey in mere words. (I'm just happy metal helps blast it away.)

And one more before I stop posting on this thread tonight. This one was also due to overexposure as a child...since it was the theme song for a fucking TV show that was rerun over and over and over and over again. Funny...John Travolta was in this and he was in Saturday Night Fever...which featured Stayin' Alive...another song I posted. I can only gather one thing from this...John Travolta must die...
